Hospitality Associate (1 PT) $16.12 hourly

JOB FUNCTION: 

Incumbent is responsible for food preparation, cashier duties, and maintaining cleanliness of concession and retail area. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of Seneca Gaming and Entertainment’s policies and procedures, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, and SGA Tribal Internal Control Standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for opening and closing concession area including retail area. Set up various supplies, in retail area, turning on/off equipment and restocking of all products in all areas.
2. Apply understanding of food handling techniques and standard kitchen procedures.
3. Maintain sanitation health and safety standards.
4. Responsible for learning all kitchen duties, including cooking hot and cold food according to recipe and temperature, counter service and cashier duties.
5. Responsible for cash drawer issued during working shift. Cashier duties also include exact accounting of all daily monies generated.
6. Assist guests with menu and product selection and answer inquiries.
7. Sell, promote and apply product knowledge, while providing excellent customer service and customer assistance as needed with product selection.
8. Assist in inventory of product.
9. Handle quality control responsibilities emphasizing portion control and presentation.
10. Able to operate large volume cooking equipment such as grill, deep fryers, and char broiler.
11. Assist guests as needed.
12. Attend all departmental meetings and in-services.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or equivalent. Previous customer service, food preparation and/or retail experience preferred. Must possess good math skills and positive personality with ability to work closely with customers. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
