Friendship is looking for a Full Time Administrative Assistant to join our Friendship Richfield Health Center team, located in Salem, VA.The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Therapy Services and therapy staff. The Administrative Assistant will serve as a liaison between rehab staff, other departments and residents.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone calls, providing exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Complete insurance verifications and authorizations
  • Coordination of coding of invoices for departmental expenses
  • Work within therapy software systems to ensure accurate patient billing
  • Support therapists in efforts to remain productive and efficient within the flow of daily patient care
  • Data entry for diagnosis coding for monthly billing cycle
  • Data entry for MDS assessment completion
  • Coordination with various entities both in and outside the company to facilitate therapy needs (i.e DME ordering, therapy student scheduling, and coordination of home assessments, etc)
  • Work cohesively with director of therapy to ensure all duties are covered during short periods of absence
  • Other duties as assigned by the director of therapy to ensure proper function of the department and work flow

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Health care admin experience preferred, but not required
  • Must possess excellent customer service, time management and internal drive toward facility goals and targets
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
