Northwest Human Services (NWHS) is currently hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician that in committed in providing excellent patient care.Â

POSITION OVERVIEW:Â
The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports our medical team by processing prescription refill requests using physician‑managed protocols. This role works closely with practitioners, patients, and pharmacies to ensure accurate, timely prescription management. Responsibilities also include coordinating prior authorizations, verifying prescription benefits, and assisting with 340B‑related tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Process prescription refill requests using provider-approved refill protocols
- Coordinate medication prior authorizations by communicating with pharmacies, insurance plans, and care teams
- Verify prescription benefits, medication formularies, and coverage to improve patient access to medications
- Document refill activity, communications, and medication information accurately in the electronic health record
- Utilize 340B resources and formulary tools to support affordable medication access
- Collaborate with providers, care teams, pharmacies, and patients to ensure prescription needs are met
- Support consulting pharmacist activities including patient assistance programs, medication cost research, and appointment preparation.Â
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician with one year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting that includes accurately billing third party insurance and troubleshooting common issues.
- Bilingual preferred – Bilingual in English/another language and able to pass proficiency testing.Â
- Ability to communicate and interact with all areas of the clinic
- Ability to deal with the public efficiently, courteously, politely, and effectively.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures and lifestyles.
