Network Administrator I
Help power the technology behind exceptional, compassionate care.

Full-time opening at Salem Clinic Main, 2020 Capitol St NE, Salem, OR 97301

At Salem Clinic, our IS team is not tucked away in a back room fixing printers and forgotten about. We are the people the rest of the clinic depends on, and we are proud of that. We are a physician-owned, multi-specialty group that has served the Salem community for generations, and right now we are actively embracing AI and modern technology to help our providers work smarter and care for patients better. This is a genuinely exciting time to join us.

Every server you maintain, every switch you configure, and every network issue you resolve helps a provider see a patient, a lab result reach a physician, and a prescription get filled. Your work has a direct, daily impact on the health of people in our own community.

Why You'll Love This Team

  • A small, sharp, close-knit IS team that takes real pride in keeping Salem Clinic running and supporting each other along the way.
  • A seat at the table as we adopt AI and new technology across the organization, your ideas will help shape how we get there.
  • Work that matters: your technical skill translates directly into better, faster, safer care for our patients.
  • A physician-owned, community-rooted clinic where people build long, meaningful careers.

Job Summary

The Network Administrator I keeps Salem Clinic's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) running day to day. You will own network troubleshooting and problem resolution for the LAN and WAN, and you will help safeguard the security and integrity of our servers and systems, the same systems our providers and staff depend on to deliver care every day.

What You'll Do

  • Configure, install, and maintain servers and attached peripherals for LAN/WAN systems.
  • Maintain firewalls, IDs, cameras, and other security appliances for the LAN/WAN.
  • Provide network access, user administration, and security across multiple operating systems.
  • Diagnose and correct network hardware and software problems.
  • Monitor and manage network switches, routers, and wireless access points to minimize bottlenecks.
  • Configure and maintain the clinic's telephony system (Zoom) to keep our teams connected and reachable.
  • Maintain print servers, fax servers, and other network peripherals.
  • Maintain electronic mail, mail security, and calendar services on the network.
  • Install PCs, printers, and other IS hardware and software throughout the clinic.
  • Write programs to find alternative solutions to existing systems, programs, and procedures.

What You'll Bring

  • Computer knowledge and keyboarding experience.
  • Familiarity with current Office 365 Microsoft products.
  • Familiarity with Cisco switches and security appliances.
  • Knowledge of SAN configuration and maintenance, and Synology.
  • Understanding and maintenance of a domain-based Windows server platform, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO) administration.
  • Server virtualization experience with VMware or Hyper-V (exposure to Citrix Hypervisor/XCP is a plus as we look toward that platform).
  • Cisco switching knowledge (CCNA a plus).
  • Meraki wireless administration.
  • Zoom administration.
  • ManageEngine or similar endpoint management tools.
