Friendship is looking for a Full Time Physical Therapist to join our Friendship Richfield Outpatient Therapy team, located in Salem, VA. The Physical Therapist is responsible for creating therapy plans that improve and encourage resident recovery and wellness. They will create individual treatment plans to meet the needs of each resident.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Complete screenings and patient evaluations according to departmental policies and procedures
  • Establish, implement and execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departments
  • Adhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and procedures
  • Evaluate treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustments as may be necessary
  • Participate in program development, quality assurance and improvement efforts
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operations
  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree required
  • Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia required
  • Experience in a long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferred
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
