DUTIES: Works under the direction of the Chief of Police, the Police Lieutenant or the watch commander. Ensures the public peace and safety by performing a variety of law enforcement duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
â–ª Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
â–ª Must be at least 21 years of age.
â–ª May not have been convicted of the unlawful use, sale or possession of a controlled substance abuse in the past five years.
â–ª May not have been convicted of a crime for which the applicant could have been punished by imprisonment in federal penitentiary of this or another state.
â–ª Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute.
Certificates/Licenses: Requires a valid Utah Driver's License. Must have and maintain a Utah Post certification as a Law Enforcement Officer within one year of hire date. Must meet all mandatory certifications annually.
SALARY: $33.74 to $42.17 per hour. Also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
SCHEDULE: Varies. Evenings, holidays and weekends may be required.
