Lead Preschool Teacher

At Precious Cargo Preschool & Childcare, we're looking for a passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to create meaningful learning experiences, build strong relationships with families, and help children develop the skills they need to thrive.

What You'll Do
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom that supports every child's unique needs.
- Conduct observations and assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSGold).
- Maintain accurate documentation, portfolios, and developmental records.
- Foster positive behavior and social-emotional growth through relationship-based teaching.
- Partner with families through ongoing communication, conferences, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with coaches, specialists, and team members to support student success.
- Ensure compliance with Preschool Promise, licensing regulations, and program requirements.
- Participate in professional development, coaching, and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Oregon Registry Step 8 or higher.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Food Handler's Card.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Creative Curriculum and TSGold.
- Two or more years of experience in an early childhood setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
