Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
