Summary

Efficiently ship all products for your store while utilizing company standards to achieve the best pricing possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee must be able to perform these essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship.

Maintain Orders to Ship Report; ensure all orders are shipped and perform all transfers in SAP.
Assist Counter Sales employees with shipping quotes for customers.
Ship product utilizing the best package sizing to achieve the most cost-effective freight; ensure delivery as close to customer expectations as possible.
Track packages not delivered in a timely manner or possibly lost by the carrier.
Transport received product to Inventory Control Coordinator or Counter Sales Assistant.
Assist carriers with loading as necessary (e.g. pallet loading with fork lift)
Other duties and projects as requested by the Store Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, bend and kneel on a regular basis.
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Ability to climb stairs in store locations where applicable.

Potential Hazards

Employee may periodically be exposed to hazardous substances including a variety of petroleum-based products, cleaning solvents, etc.

Employee will be exposed to sharp (cutting) objects on a regular basis.

Competencies necessary to perform this job

Detail Oriented – Ensure all key fields are completed in freight software to create accurate shipping labels.

Teamwork – Work closely with Counter Sales and Parts Runners to achieve timely and accurate product shipment.

Safety and Security – Follow safety policies/plans created by the company; operate tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment
Basic knowledge of weighing and labeling equipment
Able to operate fork lifts and yard tractors
Basic computer experience including e-mail, Word and shipping software

Certifications, Licensees or Registrations Required/Preferred

This position does not require any special certifications, licenses, or registrations.
