Emerald Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to serve as a key financial business partner within our organization. This role is responsible for overseeing product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis. The ideal candidate will provide actionable insights into cost drivers, helping guide operational strategies and improve profitability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual standard cost roll process.
  • Establish, maintain, and update production Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances (PPV, POV).
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify significant deviations from standard costs.
  • Manage excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory reserves.
  • Lead physical inventory counts and cycle count programs across multiple facilities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Evaluate financial impacts of process changes, operational adjustments, or new product introductions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUPs).
    • Experience with large-scale ERP systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
