Ideal Sushi Supply started in 2017 as the distribution wing of our affiliated Momiji Sushi Bar and Restaurants, which are located all around Oregon. Since then, we have branched out and now proudly serve a vast number of restaurants in our community. 

We are currently in the process of moving from our 5,000 sq ft warehouse to a 20,000 sq ft warehouse to accommodate our growth. Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up products for our Momiji’s locations as well as outside customer locations. They must have a good driving record and be insurable. A license other than class C may be required depending on the vehicle being driven. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in loading and signing off on outgoing products and orders 
• Keeps products separated, organized and a safe manner for transport
• Performs pre safety checks on all vehicles to ensure they are in good working order 
• Performs quality control checks on items being delivered
• Reads and understands purchase orders and invoices 
• Reports discrepancies in inventory such as items damaged in transportation  
• Creates and updates databases and records or other data as needed 
• Provides logistical support to warehouse staff and operations 
• Obeys all federal, state and local traffic laws and regulations
• Follows all safety and driving policies and procedures 
• Assists colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so
• Ensures the accuracy of the organizations items being delivered  
• Maintains the accuracy of historical data and records
• Assist in picker packer duties as needed 

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist warehouse staff as needed 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Has knowledge of products being delivered and how to pack them properly for transport   
• Must have industry knowledge and background in general warehouse, inventory and/or delivery driving departments 
• Must be forklift certified or have the ability to become forklift certified  
• Has a working knowledge of the warehouse, and company and how all the locations and departments function in relation to each other
• Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze large sets of data
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle

Physical Requirements and Job Conditions

• Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including, car, truck, van, forklift, pallet jack, computer, office equipment, telephone, and calculator
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and reach with items weighing up to 75 lbs.  
• Must be able to walk around the warehouse and stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to load and unload products for delivery
• Must be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time and navigate to order destinations 
• Must be able to work in extreme heat or extreme cold found in the warehouse environment

• This position is not eligible for telework, flex schedule or additional holidays
