The Grant Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating grant development efforts that advance Saint Francis Ministries’ mission and strategic priorities across a multi-state continuum of care. This position identifies funding opportunities, develops compelling grant proposals, coordinates grant submissions, and supports stewardship and reporting activities to secure sustainable funding for programs serving children, youth, families, and communities.

The Grant Manager partners closely with executive leadership, clinical leadership, operations, finance, and program teams to translate organizational needs, outcomes, and strategic initiatives into competitive funding opportunities. This role serves as a key contributor in strengthening organizational growth, innovation, and mission impact.

Grant Strategy & Funding Development
- Research, identify, and evaluate local, state, federal, foundation, and private funding opportunities aligned with Saint Francis strategic priorities.
- Monitor emerging funding trends and opportunities related to child welfare, behavioral health, prevention services, family support, and related fields.
- Lead development of grant proposals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and funding strategies by partnering with organizational leadership to align annual priorities with a multi-year vision, ensuring both immediate funding needs and long-term (e.g., 3-year) growth, sustainability, and strategic initiatives are supported
Grant Writing & Proposal Management
- Lead development, writing, editing, and submission of competitive grant proposals, letters of intent, concept papers, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with clinical, finance, operational, and program teams to gather information and develop grant narratives and budgets.
- Synthesize clinical, programmatic, operational, and outcome information into cohesive funding proposals that demonstrate community need, mission impact, measurable outcomes, and sustainable service delivery.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of grant applications and required supporting materials.
- Maintain a grants management tracking system for submissions, deadlines, reporting requirements, and funding outcomes, as well as a grants resource library.
Reporting, Partnership & Organizational Support
- Coordinate grant reporting requirements and support post-award compliance activities.
- Assist with development of outcome measures, program narratives, and impact reporting for funders and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with funders, community organizations, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Participate in organizational initiatives, committees, and strategic projects supporting growth and sustainability.
- Support innovation initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Compliance & Organizational Standards
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive organizational and client information.
- Implement Saint Francis policies and adhere to all required procedures, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related experience.
- Five years' experience preferred.
- Experience preparing successful grant proposals and coordinating grant processes preferred.
- Experience in child welfare, behavioral health, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or human services preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check, Adult Registry check, and FBI fingerprint check.
- Must have valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel as needed.
