Welder – 2nd Shift – Kipp, KS

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, currently has an opening for an experienced 2nd Shift Welder at our Kipp Facility. 

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
• Operation of various welding robots
• Lift heavy parts throughout the shift
• Clean, repair and examine welds as needed
• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
• Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

• Understand team concept and be a strong team player
• High standard for quality and detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime 
• Working knowledge of MIG welding operations
• Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
