An energetic young woman who enjoys being on the go is looking for an innovative and creative mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work one on one with her. She is a social butterfly who likes to be around people who have a great sense of humor and can keep her engaged in activities in her community. She is looking for someone to help work on her goals of increasing her communication skills, growing her independence, and learning positive coping strategies to assist her with navigating stressful situations. She is looking to work with a DSP who has patience, is flexible with change, confident, reliable, and comfortable working for people with special needs. The ideal candidate has some experience working with individuals who require support with learning coping strategies to help with emotional regulation and managing sensory issues. Days/Hours of Work Tuesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)   Pay rate: $23 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour. Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if required for the job assigned. Must demonstrate sound decision-making skills. Must demonstrate understanding for the Agency mission. Background checks required Education & Experience: GED or High School Diploma preferred. Applicable job experience preferred. Desired Skills and Abilities: previous experience working 1:1 in a related service environment preferred. Knowledge of disability related issues preferred. The Mentor is paid at the provider’s rate for the service based on an assessment of the specific support needs of the individual in the areas of behavioral support, communication support, and physical support needs.
