Able to work in a fast paced and under pressure environment. Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Obeys all Cal/OSHA guidelines and regulations Ensures equipment is in safe operating condition. Fill out pre-start up forklift inspection form- Report any issues to your immediate supervisor Enforce and actively participate in general housekeeping duties and debris removal in order to reduce the risk of potential accidents and hazardous conditions. Maintain neat, orderly and safe stacks of stocks in the wahouse. Responsibilities include transporting merchandise across warehouse and also to outside locations. Wrapped pallets in plastic wrap and attached merchandise tags. Shrink-wrapped an average of 55 pallets per day. Monitored ther area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic while operating forklift. Maneuvered forklift safely in congested and confirmed areas. Must be able to work flexible hours in a cold environment (33 Deg F / 1 Deg C). Coordinate with other lift truck drivers and production personnel to process orders efficiently. Maintains clear and open communication with management. Examined product boxes for quality and accuracy. Move pallets of merchandise using electric Placed overstocked items in temporary storage. General warehouse duties as needed. Learn and understand the various loading configurations, and patterns of product / commodities Knowledge of all product boxes Maintain daily log Maintain work station’s stocked with proper materials (rolls, boxes etc) The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position. QualificationsEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 year experience Forklift license EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING: High School Diploma Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Forklift Certification a plus. Must complete GreenGate Fresh Forklift Training and Certification course. ESSENTIAL ABILITIES: Punctual Ability to read, write and understand forklift instructions and safety materials Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Attendance is key. Initiative Team player PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs Hand dexterity and strength. Ability to work in both indoor warehouse environment as well as outdoors regardless of weather. Excellent Vision WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work performed indoors in a climate controlled environment and in a production type facility May involve working outdoors in inclemate weather May involve exposure to exhaust fumes and/or other chemical fumes such as Chlorine.
