Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) –Part time PRN

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides high‑quality evaluation, treatment, and care planning for residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. This role plays a key part in enhancing the quality of life and supporting resident safety, independence, and clinical outcomes in a post‑acute and skilled nursing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing

  • Provide evidence‑based therapy interventions aligned with resident goals and care needs

  • Conduct bedside swallow assessments and develop dysphagia management plans

  • Document services accurately and timely per facility and regulatory guidelines

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, safety techniques, and therapy programs

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, nursing, and medical staff

  • Support a positive, resident‑centered therapy environment
