Opportunity: Morgan Foods, Inc., a premier manufacturer of soups, beans, gravy, and broths, is seeking a Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support its manufacturing operations in Saline, Michigan. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. This position partners with leaders and employees to implement safety initiatives, conduct training, perform audits and inspections, investigate incidents, and identify opportunities to reduce workplace risks. The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment while supporting the organization's operational and continuous improvement objectives.
his role leads the coordination and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization; establishes EHS priorities and performance expectations; manages safety initiatives, training, compliance activities, and related budgets; and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable environmental, safety, quality, food safety, SQF, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. The position serves as the organization's subject matter expert for environmental, health, and safety matters and partners with Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other functions to achieve compliance objectives, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement. This role also requires flexibility to work across facilities and shifts; travel between company locations; and respond to workplace incidents, regulatory matters, and operational needs outside normal 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday working hours.

Duties / Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules as it applies to worker and environmental safety.Â
- Manage all reporting to EPA, OSHA, Washtenaw County, Saline, EGLE and other outside agencies
- Participate in new hire orientation as it relates to safety and environmental policies.
- Submit recommendations for improvement and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk managementÂ
- Lead safety investigations relating to recordables and near missesÂ
- Lead ASP’s safety team and conduct monthly auditsÂ
- Promote safe working environmentÂ
- Maintain organizations training records for worker safety trainingÂ
- Manage company uniform program (shirts/pants/boots/inventory)Â
- Perform other related duties as assignedÂ
