Process Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible to implement new processes, fixtures and tools, improve existing processes and provide technical support to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing of PCB assemblies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must be able to read prints and be familiar with assembly techniques using through-hole, SMT, and mixed technology.

· Must have working knowledge in electronics and PCB’s.

· Experience in dealing with a variety of technical and non-technical functional groups.

· Must be familiar with PCB insertion equipment, manual insertion methods, wave soldering, and PCB cleaning equipment.

· Must be familiar with SMT production equipment.

· May perform other duties as required to support the manufacturing areas.

· Must be able to evaluate equipment considered for purchase.

· Must have strong mathematical skills.

· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

· BS Degree in Engineering or previous experience as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer.

· 2-3 years of direct experience in PCB assemblies involving through-hole, SMT, or mixed technology.
