Role:

American Soy Products (ASP), part of Morgan Foods, Inc., is seeking a Forklift Driver to support warehouse and manufacturing operations at our Saline, MI facility. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for safely moving finished goods, loading and unloading trailers, maintaining accurate inventory transactions, and supporting warehouse organization and sanitation standards.

The Forklift Driver plays an important role in ensuring safe product handling, inventory accuracy, and efficient material flow while supporting food safety and warehouse compliance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment to move finished goods and materials throughout the facility.
  • Transfer finished goods to assigned warehouse locations utilizing SAP inventory systems.
  • Verify product accuracy and pallet identification before storage or shipment.
  • Load and unload trailers while ensuring correct products and purchase orders are shipped.
  • Stage outbound shipments and prepare transfer paperwork as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain rework, QC sample, and warehouse storage areas.
  • Maintain warehouse compliance with food safety, sanitation, and worker safety standards.
  • Perform daily sanitation and equipment inspection checklists.
  • Monitor forklift equipment, batteries, and pallet racking for safe operation and report concerns to leadership.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory activities, and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with Organic, Kosher, allergen, and company standards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Physical, Environmental & Work Expectations:

Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, moving equipment, and warehouse traffic. Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and forklift operation are required. Must safely handle pallets stored up to three racks high, follow safety and food handling procedures, communicate effectively, and maintain a dependable, team-focused approach in a fast-paced environment with schedule flexibility as needed.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience / Personal Attributes:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Forklift experience required, including sit-down and reach truck operation.
  3. Experience using RF scan guns and warehouse inventory systems preferred.
  4. Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  5. Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  6. Reliability, flexibility, and strong attendance record required.
  7. Ability to learn quickly and adapt within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Scheduling & Availability:

Full-time position with flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, and every other weekend as needed to support operational demands. Available shifts include:

  • 1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
