Job DetailsJob Location: Tri-County Council TCC - Salisbury, MD 21804Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 SalarySummary The Business Services Coordinator serves as the liaison between Lower Shore Workforce Alliance (LSWA) and the local business community. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong partnerships with area employers to support their talent acquisition and workforce development needs.  The Coordinator leads outreach efforts, manages client and vendor relationships, and collaborates with local training providers to connect businesses with relevant workforce opportunities.  Additionally, this position supports the WIOA Program Manager and Workforce Director in achieving program goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct employer outreach focused on high-demand industries across the Lower Eastern Shore Coordinate LWSA’s business outreach efforts by aligning activities with the separation of grant responsibilities, including WIOA Youth and Adult outreach, as well as other federal and state-funded programs such as the Maryland Blueprint for Education, Local Workforce Impact Fund grants, and Maryland Works for Wind Contributes to the coordination and alignment of business outreach initiatives across the department Develop and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders-including clients, vendors, school districts, employers, and industry partners-to enhance program support, streamline operations, and promote sustainability Develop and implement data tracking systems to improve efficiency and drive successful outcomes for Industry-Recognized Credentials and apprenticeship programs serving youth and adults Coordinate implementation of the Local Workforce Impact Fund (LWIF) grant in collaboration with local education agencies (LEAs), including Worcester Technical High School, career coaches across Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties, and Wor-Wic Community College Coordinate student placements for grant-funded programs (i.e.,LWIF) in collaboration with Career Coaches, ensuring compliance with WIOA eligibility requirements Prepare weekly reports on LSWA programs regarding business outreach including status-data, identified challenges, solutions, and next steps Utilize JOBSEQ to maintain the current status of industry sector trends, affecting job seekers on the Lower Eastern Shore Attend meetings, conferences, and trade shows, as needed Leads meetings with local training providers and employers to explore potential IRC and apprenticeship goals and support program implementation initiatives Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WIOA and other federally and state-funded programs Stay informed on legislative initiatives that may positively or negatively impact employers, apprenticeships, and Industry-Recognized Credentials (IRCs) on the Lower Eastern Shore Coordinate with local training providers regarding apprenticeship initiatives on the Lower Eastern Shore and virtual online training opportunities Ability to use and demonstrate Transfer VR to support employers and job seekers pursuing training, apprenticeships or student internships Initiates and maintains ongoing relationships with a variety of businesses and industry leaders throughout the Lower Eastern Shore Region.
