Accredited by The Joint Commission, Hudson Behavioral Health is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing Behavioral Health Treatment in Salisbury, Maryland. Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders. Our services include Detoxification, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Partial Hospitalization, Treatment, 3.1 Housing and Outpatient Services.
We are seeking FT skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a food service environment and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals that meet our clients’ expectations while adhering to dietary guidelines.
Hours will vary from early morning shifts through early evening and includes every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the nursing department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements
Qualifications:Â
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
- Serve Safe Certification.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and the ability to work within dietary guidelines is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Minimum of one year’s experience in food service.
