Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Salisbury Location - Salisbury, MO 65281Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: BankingRegional Missouri Bank Job Description Division/Department: Operations Job Title: Teller Reports to: Branch Manager Type of position: Full-time Hours: Approximately 40/ week based on need Non -Exempt Position Overview: The individual fulfilling this position handles all phases of teller operations, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc. This individual will be required to have knowledge of bank products, bank operations, and deposit compliance and willingness to be cross-trained in various areas of branch operations. This individual shall exercise independent judgment in most instances and require minimal supervision.  Provides complete customer services on new and existing accounts.  Duties may include preparing signature cards, check orders, transfers, and service charges.  Must have complete knowledge of all financial products and services in order to cross-sell to customers.  Service bond and security transactions, establishes retirement accounts and make arrangements for direct deposits.. Role & Responsibilities: Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations both in person and by handling incoming calls Adheres to policies and procedures to minimize losses Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances Enters customer transactions into teller machine to validate transaction accurately and efficiently Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at balancing time and compares totaled amounts with amount in teller machine Accepts loan payments Prepares CTR’s and familiar with SAR’s Answer phone Receive and process new account transactions including opening, maintaining, and closing of accounts Assist customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services Cross-sell the Bank's products and services Promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations Display knowledge in online/mobile banking and debit cards Other responsibilities at the discretion of management Qualifications & Education Requirements: 1- 3 years teller experience preferred High School Graduate/GED Excel/Word Processing Must possess excellent customer service skills Must possess good verbal and written communication Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment. Must be capable of reliable attendance. Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
