As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will assist in managing project submittals, tracking production timelines, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring seamless project execution. This role requires a dynamic professional who can multitask effectively while maintaining precision and organization.

You’ll interact with a wide range of stakeholders—contractors, field teams, government agencies, and internal departments—via email, phone, and in person.


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Submittals

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Review job scope and specifications prior to submittal
  • Create, manage, review, and approve submittal packages
  • Compose and send submittals for approval and manage correspondence
  • Obtain and track signed approvals for equipment, drawings, and site requirements

Project Tracking & Execution

  • Monitor and track production timelines to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain and update project spreadsheets daily
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly stored
  • Release equipment to manufacturers for production
  • Coordinate and schedule project deliveries

Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as a key point of contact for field supervisors
  • Communicate directly with contractors, owners, and government agencies (e.g., Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC)
  • Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and architects

Technical & Design Support

  • Assist in designing elevator layouts for various applications
  • Prepare and submit documentation for government projects
  • Develop knowledge of industry codes and standards (A17.1, A18.1, B20, ADA)

Additional Duties

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support project success


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe
  • Experience maintaining organized digital filing systems
  • Familiarity with elevator systems preferred
  • 2D/3D drafting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools
