Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is now hiring Farm Cleanout Supervisor. This position is responsible for overseeing & participating in the thorough cleaning & disinfection of our poultry houses. This role ensures that all cleanout procedures are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Aviagen's biosecurity standards to maintain optimal health and productivity of the flocks.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate cleanout crews across multiple poultry farms.

  • Schedule daily and weekly work assignments; adjust as needed.

  • Train new and existing crew members in procedures, safety, and biosecurity protocols.

  • Conduct routine performance evaluations and provide coaching to develop crew members.

  • Routine farm inspections to ensure work meets company standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all company Safety, Biosecurity, and ISO standards.

  • Minimize equipment and property damage through training, supervision, and accountability.

  • Monitor and maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure operational readiness.

  • Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and submit documentation as required.

  • Be available on-call 24/7 to respond to operational emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to teamwork and meeting production targets.

  • Must comply with all company Biosecurity, Animal Welfare, ISO, and Safety protocols.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field-based with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

  • May involve physical activity, such as walking on uneven surfaces, climbing, and lifting equipment.

  • Work hours can include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

  • Position requires frequent travel to farms and other facilities within the region.
