Basic Job Functions:

  • Participate in the monthly review of project budgets, costs, and profitability
  • Maintain the month-end close calendar and ensure profit and cash flow forecasts are prepared accurately and on schedule
  • Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis, including cost variances, project variances, and prepare supporting financial analysis for leadership
  • Prepare project profitability reports
  • Maintain project register and prepare month-end postings, allocations, and accruals
  • Ensure accurate reporting of financial information and maintain project-related ledger accounts
  • Track and report fixed asset acquisitions and disposals
  • Prepare quarterly rolling forecasts
  • Identify and assist in resolving project-related accounting issues
  • Continually improve processing activities and reporting to provide operations with the most accurate and timely information possible

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in month end close procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferences:

  • 3+ years of experience in POC Revenue Recognition/Job Cost accounting a plus
