Assistant Professor of Nursing (Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Program) 


The Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Program within the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah invites applications for a full-time faculty position.

($82,000to $84,000(11 month Contract)

We seek candidates with expertise in a variety of nursing curricula such as but not limited to; Advanced Health Assessment, Health Care and Promotion of the Adult, Older Adult, Young Adult, and Infants through Adolescents, and Ambulatory Procedures. Applicants must have experience in teaching graduate nursing students using the New Essentials Core Competencies (AACN 2021) in all aspects of graduate education, which include nursing courses in the didactic setting, clinical student teaching, and supervision in skills lab, simulation, and healthcare and community settings. 

The teaching load for this full-time position is 32-semester hours that include fall, spring, and summer semesters. A standard contract at Westminster University is a 9-month contract. The range for a 9-month contract would be $70,772-$74,704. The contract for this position is an 11-months beginning in August 2026 with the adjusted 11-month salary above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A PhD in nursing from a regionally accredited institution is preferred. A Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSNEd) from a regionally accredited institution may be considered. 

In addition, the nursing school where the nursing degree was obtained must be accredited through CCNE or ACEN. We seek candidates with an excellent teaching record and ability to engage with students to enhance learning.
