Job Description:

We are seeking a Manager, Program Finance to play a visible leadership role supporting a high-growth business area within a fast-paced defense environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader who wants to influence strategy, shape business outcomes, and develop high-performing teams while partnering closely with Program Management and cross-functional leaders.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted business partner to program and division leadership, helping drive financial performance across numerous large and varied programs. You will lead a team of Program Finance Analysts, strengthen financial planning and execution, and provide the insight needed to support program health, operational excellence, and long-term growth. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while expanding your leadership, strategic finance, and program execution expertise.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and develop a team of Program Finance Analysts, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on performance, accountability, and career development.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Business Area Directors, and cross-functional teams to establish and maintain program financial plans aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Drive financial strategy and execution across programs, with focus on Orders, Revenue, Profit, and Cash Flow.
  • Own and oversee core program finance deliverables, including external customer reporting and internal financial forecasts.
  • Develop and manage time-phased budgets, integrated schedules, and forecasting processes to ensure strong cost and schedule performance.
  • Lead development of quarterly EACs and weekly, monthly and quarterly financial performance reports.
  • Monitor program performance and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities early.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to improve program financial outcomes and mitigate risk.
  • Advise program teams on adherence to finance policies and the support of internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to new business efforts by helping shape financial strategies and business case structures for pursuits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience, or;
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or;
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Program Finance.
  • Strong experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience with COBRA and SAP.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government FAR-based programs.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
