Summary

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of complex enclosures and housings for diagnostic medical devices; you’ll touch every part of the development process from concept through to production.

Interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards to define design inputs and constraints
Design & prototype complex rugged enclosures and housings
Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
Communicate with international and domestic vendors to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing & cost (DFM).
Lead prototype builds
Facilitate design transfer to our onsite and international production sites

Experience Level with Business Tools

Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Advanced knowledge of Solidworks, including surfacing techniques
Advanced knowledge of a variety of manufacturing techniques: injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, MIM, 3D printing, composites
Design of products which balance complex considerations such as thermal, EMI, ingress protection, ergonomics, aesthetics
A solid understanding of GD&T

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of related experience
