Processing Lead

• Validate and send EOS reports. 

• Completes and signs off on all paperwork completed on shift each day. 

• Review paperwork of teammates to ensure it is being done completely and correctly. 

• Assists in planning daily production schedule with Processing Manager & Production Planner. 

• Escalates all issues to the Processing Manager and shift Supervisors. 

• Gives tours to visitors and new hires. 

• Walks lines when sending product to ensure no leaks or spills have occurred. 

• Trains new team leads, Processing Technicians, & Processing Trainees. 

• Reports/follows up on incidents (safety, quality, equipment, etc.) 

• Coordinates and leads all rework and reconditioning projects for area of responsibility. 

• Delegates tasks to team members. 

• Participate in required DDS meetings. 

• Meet with oncoming Team Lead before shift to perform a GIMBA/safety walk of the plant to identify and correct any issues remaining from off going shift. (CLEANLINESS, QUALITY, EQUIPMENT ISSUES, SUPPLY STOCKED, ETC.) 

• Direct development of employees on team. 

• Understand and follow CILT (Clean, Inspect, Lube, and Tighten) and Centerlines on assigned equipment. 

• Can lead and complete tasks on MSS sheets. 

• Always wears all required PPE in all production areas. 

• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment. 

• Communicate any issues and solutions to next shift. 

• Read and follow production schedule. 

• Cleaning of all equipment using CIP systems. 

• Communication of issues with co-workers, maintenance technicians and Manager. 

• Operate computer systems needed to run production. 

• Comply with all quality policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices 

• Other duties as required. 

• Demonstrate ability to run and troubleshoot JCS systems. 

• Demonstrates mastery of HMI 

• Understands how to operate GEA Separators and make necessary adjustments on the fly as well as troubleshooting of problems. 

• Demonstrates ability to receive milk tankers when they arrive at the plant. 

• Demonstrates ability to do necessary lab testing on milk tankers when they arrive to the plant. 

• Demonstrates how to centerline machines. 

• Demonstrates a knowledge of how to evaluate milk samples in various phases of production and ensure products are within specifications. 

• Demonstrates operation of batching products and ensure accuracy of ingredients added to each batch. 

• Demonstrates ability to use the SAP program to perform daily confirmation transactions. 

• Other duties as required.
