Quality Assurance Coordinator 

Job Overview/Job Brief

We are looking for a capable Quality Assurance Coordinator to support our company’s Quality Assurance operations. Inspecting produce and non-produce items on inbound loads or stocked inventory and working efficiently with multiple departments.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.25 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Daily inspections of produce received from vendors, produce stored in the distribution center, and produce shipped to our customers to ensure produce meets quality expectations set by Nicholas and Company.
    • Refuse or accept produce at the time of receiving and maintaining records of all inspections, refusals, and daily reports.
    • Daily inspection of produce in storage location for quality, condition, and shelf life and removing produce from inventory that does not meet quality specifications.
    • Temperature inspection
    • Quality
    • Sizing
  • Create transactions in ERP
    • Keying adjustments for removal of product.
    • Creating transfers for product.
    • Placing condition codes on product.
  • Inspect product with reported quality issues whether inbound or stocked
    • Provide findings via written communication
    • Resolve quality using established processes
  • Communicate relevant information on all produce received with issues pertaining to quality and quantity internally and externally and document and report issues to the supplier.

Requirements:

  • At least six months in warehouse environment. Previous experience working with produce is plus but not required
  • Possess basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and tablet use
  • Able to make timely decisions using sound judgement and demonstrates attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with other team members
  • Able to work in a variety of temperatures (cooler, dry, freezer)
  • Previous experience operating a pallet jack, forklift, man-lift and other industrial warehouse equipment or willingness to be trained/certified on such equipment
