Golf Team Manager

Student Position

Position Overview

The Golf Manager supports the daily operations of the Westminster Golf Team. This position ensures all equipment and facilities are properly arranged, maintained, and set up for practice and travel. The Golf Manager will serve as a point of contact between coaches and players, providing important information and calendar updates as directed. The Golf Manager will oversee the collection and analysis of player statistics through various tech platforms. The Golf Manager plays a key behind-the-scenes role in helping the team function smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include: Equipment inventory, practice site confirmation and practice plan specifics communicated to the teams, travel preparation documents for team distribution, program specific tournament and practice preparation tasks and statistical analysis


Primary Responsibilities & Tasks

• Facility Maintenance and Practice Readiness: Ensure team check in and initiation of daily practices, ensure cleanliness of the facility after practice, ensure practice course details are up to date for accurate players stat tracking.

• Equipment Management: Set up and take down any equipment necessary for a practice session before and after each practice; manage and track inventory.

• Team Support: Provide general assistance to coaching staff and players as needed, with an emphasis on communication and being the first point of contact for players.

Other Duties Complete additional tasks as assigned to support the success of the golf program.

  • Develop strong technological skills working across a variety of programs and apps.
  • Build teamwork and communication skills while working closely with coaches and athletes.
  • Learn how to support a high-level NCAA Division II athletic program behind the scenes.
