Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate mining and supply industry since 1946, is actively recruiting for the position of senior accountant in our corporate location. Kimball Equipment Company is a successful dealer for brands such as Terex Cedarapids, Terex Finlay, and Superior Industries. We are growing quickly and are looking for someone motivated to grow with us!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coding of accounts payable, as well as the monthly closing of accounts payable.
  • Perform as needed various monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring amortization of various assets.  
  • Capitalize, reconcile, and keep the fixed assets up to date and accurate.
  • Record various journal entries as needed.
  • Assist as needed with the credit card transition from paper to digital.
  • Assist as needed with the streamlining of various accounting duties.
  • Assist with monthly closing of the general ledger.
  • Assist with gathering, and filing sales tax information, property tax, and corporate filings.
  • Assist with various audits as needed.
  • Formulate schedules and gather information as needed.
  • Use Excel as needed or other reporting tools to analyze, gather, and communicate information.
  • Communicate effectively and timely.
  • Work with, cooperate with, and be a part of a growing company.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of accounting practices.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to act responsibly and ethically.
