Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Construction Technician. This position will perform on-site daily observation of the contractor’s construction work and compares the work product to the project’s approved plans and specifications. Physically performs materials tests and prepares daily inspection reports.

What You Will Be Doing:

Assists Construction Inspectors with various tests and needed follow-up
Assures the contractor’s work conforms to project standards and specifications.
Entails extensive manual labor, including the ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to work at and easily maneuver around construction sites in various weather conditions. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and trenches.
Maintains daily logs of inspections and reviews any discrepancies with the proper parties.
In the course of business, the member will be required to operate a company vehicle. A mandatory prerequisite to operating a company vehicle is maintaining an acceptable driving record.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of construction related experience in a field applicable to the work assignment

Ability to obtain the following:

Concrete Field Inspection (ACI)
Fully UDOT certified with Partnering, CTT, SRDT, SWPP, and IQP
Experience with UDOT plans, specifications and Masterworks
Or equal experience as defined by the Construction Services Department Manager or Client.

In addition, this job requires good communication and documentation skills (Word or equal, Internet) and an individual capable of performing with minimal supervision. A general knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications is helpful.
