About the Role

As a Senior Sourcing Manager on the Supply Chain team, you will serve as a pivotal strategic leader driving vendor acquisition, negotiation, and overall supply chain strategy for our next-generation product line. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution, taking ownership of multi-million-dollar supplier relationships and ensuring high-efficiency global sourcing pipelines. You will directly impact Torus’s scale and mission by securing reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective supplier networks that directly support our state-of-the-art GigaOne facility and broader energy infrastructure initiatives.


Who You Are

You are a proactive, analytical, and seasoned supply chain strategist who embodies accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. You excel in high-stakes negotiations and build enduring, executive-level partnerships grounded in mutual value and trust. Driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence, you take pride in navigating complex technical challenges, resolving supplier friction, and transforming strategy into measurable business results. 

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies for new product line components and systems.
  • Lead executive-level supplier relationship management (SRM), developing long-term strategic partnerships and handling complex conflict resolution.
  • Negotiate high-value commercial contracts, agreements, and key terms to optimize cost, delivery schedules, risk, and overall value.
  • Manage global supplier relationships and international sourcing strategies, with a emphasis on Asia-Pacific and other key international markets.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align sourcing initiatives with technical and product development roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous optimization across the supply chain, targeting measurable cost savings, lead-time reductions, supplier performance enhancements, and robust risk mitigation.
  • Analyze technical documentation, including engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing workflows, to inform supplier selection and cost modeling.
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems to monitor supply performance, forecast material demand, and maintain system integrity across product lifecycles.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating complex supplier contracts valued at $10M+ annually.
  • Executive-level experience managing complex supplier relationships, conflict resolution, and long-term partnership building.
  • Technical fluency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and working within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proven experience managing global suppliers and establishing international sourcing strategies, particularly with partners in Asia.
  • Track record of driving measurable operational results, including sustained cost savings, lead-time improvements, enhanced vendor performance metrics, and risk mitigation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated success bridging technical teams (Engineering, IT) and business functions (Operations, Executive Leadership).


Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in the clean energy, energy storage, hardware manufacturing, or automotive sectors.
  • Deep experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) supply chain strategy from early prototype stages to full-volume production.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM).

Location + Travel The role is based in our Salt Lake Headquarters, GigaOne and some remote work. May require occasional onsite work in our South Salt Lake R&D warehouse..
Schedule Full-Time, Salaried

Compensation $135,000 - $175,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the  corresponding pay range.)

Work Authorization Applicants must already have the legal authorization to work in the US without requiring any employer sponsorship.

Physical Requirements 

  • Must have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.
  • Ability to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet. 
  • Ability to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.
  • Ability to communicate information so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must report to work reliably and with the ability to use full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute your job.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
