Position Summary

The role of the Server is to create 100% Guest Satisfaction by serving customers in a prompt and efficient manner

Ā  Ā 

  • Provides food and beverage service to guests in the restaurantĀ & banquets:Ā 

  • Provides guest with overview of menu choicesĀ 

  • Takes guest’s order – provides explanation of menu as appropriateĀ 

  • OrganizesĀ ordersĀ for presentation/deliveryĀ to guestĀ table/roomĀ 

  • Replenishes waterĀ where neededĀ 

  • Makes and pours coffee for the customersĀ 

  • Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods forĀ removing  dishes,Ā glasswareĀ and silverwareĀ 

  • Cleans tables,Ā chairsĀ and floor areaĀ dailyĀ utilizingĀ proper sanitation guidelines set forth byĀ Choice Hotels, Local/State and County Health departmentĀ 

  • Resets table quicklyĀ 

  • Polishes silver and folds linensĀ 

  • AssistsĀ service team as necessary to meet and exceedĀ allĀ guest expectationsĀ 

  • Sets up beverage stations forĀ appropriate shiftĀ by brewing coffee and setting out condiments, as appropriateĀ 

  • AssistsĀ in banquet functions as needed.Ā Ā 

  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance thatĀ demonstratesĀ the standardsĀ of,Ā genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectationsĀ 

  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceĀ 

  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problemsĀ 

  • ProvidesĀ YesĀ I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basisĀ 

  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it isĀ appropriate toĀ use the 100% Guest SatisfactionĀ 

  • Performs other dutiesĀ requiredĀ to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityĀ 

  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our GuestĀ

Requirement/Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Two years of experience in similar position within an upscale environment is preferred
Basic skills in reading, writing, arithmetic
Must be at least 21 years old in order to serve alcohol
Must have excellent customer service skills
Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Ability to relate to all levels of guests and management
Must possess a strong team spirit

Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 75 pounds occasionally
Ability to maneuver up to 150 pounds, occasionally, for short periods of time
Able to set up and take down tables, chairs, stages and other banquet meeting fixtures
Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs, occasionally
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, constantly

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times
