Job Summary:
The Supply Chain team is responsible for performing, controlling, and auditing a combination of manual and automated tasks necessary for the ordering, receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions of ordering, auditing, receiving, documenting, counting, labeling, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, deliver, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products toa variety of internal and external customers.
This role interacts with all levels of the organization in a collaborative and positive way with colleagues to facilitate department and organizational initiatives for cultural cohesion aligned to the DiscGenics Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately ordering, receiving, documenting, counting, labeling, storing, picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory, and finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
- Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Identify and implement improvements, such as LEAN tools (5S, KanBan).
- Analyze supply usage data to make recommendations and adjust PAR levels.
- Utilize ERP system and handheld technology for inventory transactions, tracking and reporting serving as an expert user. Netsuite experience preferred.
- Ensure supply availability, resolve discrepancies, manage vendor relationships, and often support leadership with process improvements and team training.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
- Adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
- Independence and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Team leadership skills and team player.
- Adheres to and leads with the Company Values of Integrity, Innovation, Accuracy, Teamwork and Stewardship.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High proficiency with Excel is preferred.
- Netsuite experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit, stand, lift, bend, stoop, crawl and kneel. The employee must also use hands to finger, handle or feel. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing are required. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
