Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84106Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $15.50 - $16.50 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Server/DishwasherThe Peaks at Millcreek, a beautiful senior living community in Millcreek, UT, managed by Avista Senior Living,  is seeking dedicated & motivated team members to join our team as Servers.  Shifts would be Afternoon 4pm-7pm. Some help with weekends 7am-2pm.  Under general supervision of the Dining Supervisor, the servers performs a variety of duties involving preparation and service of balanced meals to the residents of Avista. The Servers will possess a genuine interest in and concern for the food service industry and for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to communicate well and take direction to ensure top notch service to our residents. If you are passionate about working with seniors in a team-orientated work environment, then we want you to help us continue to provide high quality senior services in a manner that love and compassion.   Essential Functions: Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Avista Prepares food, etc., in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as established policies and procedures. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community, to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients. Assists in serving meals, as necessary, on a timely basis. Assists with inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc., as necessary. Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies. Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times. Sets up meal trays, food carts, the dining room etc., as instructed. May assist Cook with preparing meals. Serves food in dining room, as instructed. QualificationsQualifications:  A positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors! Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Food service experience preferred, but NOT required. Food handler's permit, or the ability to obtain.
