Job Summary

Our fast growing, production company is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician. This position will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a member of a dynamic team.  The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of at least one year in the food manufacturing sector and be committed to workplace safety. Additionally, the candidate for this position will be motivated to grow with Palmetto Gourmet Foods, building a career for years to come.  Flexibility with scheduled workdays and shift preferences is required.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

•    Verifying and approving raw materials and Prepare customer samples.

•    Performing routine line checks to ensure SOPs and CCPs are respected.

•    Monitor and train team in GMP and HACCP protocols.

•    Work in a fast, efficient and controlled manner.

•    Work well with team to complete tasks.

•    Maintain a high standard of quality.

•    Follow QA instruction concerning the packing of noodles.

•    Monitors and verifies the proper cleaning and sanitation program.

•    Have good knowledge of computers – MS Office, Internet.

•    Must maintain a clean work area at all times.  

•    Work as directed by Management 

•    Work a few hours on occasional weekends to follow up behind sanitation

Quality Assurance Required Skills and Qualifications:

•    Dynamic, organized and able to proactively improve overall QA program.

•    Have good interpersonal skills to motivate and train staff.

•    Be able to multitask and work under pressure.

•    Good manual dexterity and good work ethic.

•    Experience in food production.

•    High level of attention to detail.

•    Physical stamina and strength and requires standing for long periods of time.

•    Requires some heavy lifting (boxes weigh up to 25lbs).
