Job DetailsJob Location: San Angelo, TX 76908Position Type: Full TimeLogistics Specialist / Logistician III   Full-time  Location: Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, TX  Veterans First Initiative, LLC (VFI) is a U.S. Government Contractor and IT Services Integrator that delivers Network, Unified Communications, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity Engineering and Infrastructure Solutions on a global scale. VFI is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).   VFI seeks a Logistics Specialist to support the 17th Training Group (TRG) in providing asset management services in compliance with DAFMAN 17-1203 Information Technology Asset Management ensuring asset accountability, physical oversight, record accuracy, asset storage, visibility, coordination of asset movement, and adherence to established Air Force policies and directives.   The Logistics Specialist ensures compliance with Air Force regulations, cybersecurity policies, and asset lifecycle management best practices. The Logistics Specialist will maintain IT asset accountability and operational readiness by ensuring accurate records, proper storage conditions, and seamless allocation of assets to authorized IT Property Custodians (ITPCs) and IT Project Managers. The Logistics Specialist will manage IT assets in accordance with the site’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT asset tracking and inventory management.  Duties and Responsibilities:  Conduct and maintain 100% accountability of IT assets in the storage and warehouses funded by the 17 TRG to include Sensitive and Non-Sensitive IT Assets.   Use the centralized group-level asset management IT tracking system (currently ServiceNow ITRMS) to ensure consistency and accuracy of the data for compliance and reporting including the following:   Improve efficiency in identifying asset needs, surpluses, and discrepancies.  Ensure all IT asset records, including receiving, transfers, and excess are accurately documented.  Receive and inspect all incoming IT assets for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders IAW 17 TRSS/TSO IT Logistics Readiness Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).  Maintain compliance with the organization’s ITAM, DPAS, and Air Force regulations.  Follow required procedures related to asset movement and security.  Maintain organized storage of IT assets in compliance with Air Force regulations.  Ensure proper environmental and physical security measures for asset preservation.  Provide Inventory Management and Accountability.  Ensure compliance with DoD and USAF regulations and maintain Audit Readiness.  Perform asset lifecycle support and reporting services.   Track warranty services in the ServiceNow ITAM and coordinate vendor repairs/replacement activities.   Required Qualifications:  Current Active TS/SCI DoD Security clearance.  At least one year of relevant experience in military, government, or civilian roles.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.  Basic experience with Microsoft Office tools.  Good communication skills and a professional attitude  Preferred Qualifications  At least 2 years of experience managing IT assets for a corporate or governmental organization.  Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems.   Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little direct supervision.  Attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to work well with others.  Security Clearance Required:  Active DoD Top Secret clearance  Travel Required:  None  Potential for Telework:  None  Schedule: Monday – Friday  VFI offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, employer paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, retirement plans with employer contributions, paid time off, holidays, opportunity for advancement, and a respectful and collaborative work environment.  VFI is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or protected veteran status.  Qualifications
