At SeaWorld, we inspire guests and campers to care for animals and the natural world. As a Supervisor of Day Camp Programs, you’ll play a vital role in shaping meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, and conservation awareness.

SeaWorld is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Day Camp Programs to lead engaging, safe, and high-quality youth programs rooted in conservation education and guest service excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing daily camp operations while ensuring full alignment with American Camp Association (ACA) standards, regulatory requirements, and SeaWorld policies.

  • Supervise daily operations of SeaWorld’s day camp programs, ensuring compliance with ACA standards, accreditation expectations, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that prioritizes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all campers.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate camp staff, providing coaching and mentorship to promote professional growth and positive youth development.
  • Lead and facilitate staff training focused on child development, behavior management, emergency procedures, inclusion, and ACA-required competencies.
  • Ensure appropriate supervision ratios, risk management strategies, and emergency response protocols are consistently followed.
  • Collaborate with education, animal care, and operations teams to deliver meaningful, age-appropriate programming that supports SeaWorld’s conservation mission.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance records, incident reports, staff certifications, and camper health information, in accordance with ACA guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and guardians regarding program expectations, camper needs, and any concerns.
  • Monitor program quality and implement continuous improvements based on feedback, evaluations, and evolving ACA standards.


What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, youth development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in camp administration, youth programming, or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of American Camp Association standards and youth program best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
  • Current or ability to obtain required certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, lifeguard, or other role-specific credentials).
  • Passion for conservation education and working with children in an engaging, hands-on setting.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • At least one-year prior experience within the Education department preferred.
  • Minimum of six months park experience.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide excellent service to guests and ambassadors.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, overnights, and holidays.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
