Job DetailsJob Location: Roosevelt (Corporate Offices) - San Antonio, TX 78210 Reports to: Production Supervisor           Department: Industries Classification:  Non-Exempt                     Travel: 0 Percent                                                                              JOB SUMMARY: The person in this position will be responsible for assisting the supervisor or Lead II in leading the production team for their assigned department/s; trains production workers; assists in monitoring productivity.  Acts on behalf of the supervisor or Lead II in their absence JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure policies and programs of the plant and organization are maintained. Train employees on all work instructions. Record and maintain accurate attendance files. Perform random quality checks. Assist and ensure cleanliness of machines and work area Return and account for excess material. Check and requisition raw materials. Verify raw components being issued against the work order. Record production runs and assures information reported is accurate. Verify hours worked and submit for payroll each week. Comply with OSHA regulations. Must be willing to work overtime based on business needs. Maintain good housekeeping. Assists in training employees as needed. Bilingual preferred. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of computer job specific and time keeping software. Ability to train others. Experience in manufacturing Ability to read and understand specs Experience on using Excel/Word is preferred. Experience with ERP is preferred. Knowledge in ISO Standards Ability to learn and operate required machinery located in their department/s. Knowledge of basic office equipment, including phone, fax, copy machine and paper shredder. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 20lbs as needed.
