DG BOSS: Bike Mechanic (FN) (Open)

Title:

• Assembles and repairs bicycles, installs replacement parts and accessories and maintains MWR owned bicycles for rent.
• Maintains a Bicycle Repair Log of assemblage, repairs and maintenance on bicycles received and forwarded or returned to Check-it Out Equipment Rentals.
• Install a variety of accessories and other related parts to provide proper standards of appearance and safety.
• Ensure Bicycles are assembled or repaired within 72 hours of receipt.
• Ensures Bicycle Repair log maintained and available for inspection upon Government’s request.
• Ensures Repair shop is kept clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a wide range of knowledge in the repair and maintenance of bicycles.
• Must be able to work with less supervision and follow written and oral orders.
• Ability to determine the operating conditions of bicycle to safety requirements to avoid injury to
• patrons.
• Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.
• I must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.

Preferred Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

• Must have successfully completed the required training:

• Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Training from American Red Cross.
• Customer Service Training: Creating Stellar Customer Relations

EDUCATION:

• Must have at least High school diploma, Technical or Vocational course graduate is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must have two (2) years’ experience working in a repair shop.
