Cook Position – Child Care Center
We are seeking a dependable and organized Cook to join our team at a well-established child care center in San Antonio. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Position Overview
The Cook prepares daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to a planned menu and food program guidelines. This position plays an important role in supporting children’s health and ensuring meals are served on schedule each day.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for children
- Follow established menus and portion requirements
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen
- Receive and properly store food deliveries
- Track food inventory and communicate supply needs
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain required food program documentation and meal counts
- Ensure kitchen equipment and food preparation areas are properly maintained
- Work closely with leadership to ensure compliance with food program requirements
Qualifications
- Experience preparing meals for groups preferred
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently on a schedule
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to lift food boxes and stand for extended periods
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Monday–Friday
- Daytime hours
