Join Cherry Bekaert’s growing Audit practice in San Antonio as an Associate (Assurance Staff), where you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of client engagements. As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, develop your technical accounting knowledge, and build meaningful client relationships while contributing to high-quality audit services that help organizations move forward with confidence.
As an Associate (Assurance Staff), you will:
Engage and serve clients across various industries, contributing to audit engagements from planning through completion
Communicate effectively with project leaders, team members, and clients to support engagement execution
Develop technical accounting knowledge while performing financial statement audits
Prepare audit checklists and assist with journal entry adjustments
Support the preparation of financial statements alongside clients, building strong business writing skills
Prepare, organize, and maintain audit workpapers and supporting documentation
Partner with assurance professionals and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support client service delivery
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
1+ years of accounting or related experience; internships or academic experience considered
Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel)
Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent same-day travel and occasional overnight travel
Flexibility to work moderate overtime throughout the year, with heavier workloads during peak audit cycles
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn within a team-oriented environment

The salary range for this position is included below. Pay Range:
