Scope of Responsibility:
- Works with Lead Field Engineer and other field members to define, design, and execute complex systems in support of a Digitally Integrated oil and gas strategy.
- Leverage’s their engineering knowledge, judgment, creativity, and experience to support the overall Vision and Tactical Plans for our customers Automation systems platform.
- Provides insight & direction to cross functional teams in the development of sound implementation alternatives and recommendations such as cost estimates, feasibility, specifications, and interpretation of requirements.
- Provides accountability for the development and enforcement of our automation solutions standards and best practices.
- Provides guidance with project teams, and internal/external technical resources to assess opportunities for application of innovative designs, performance improvements, technical applications.
- Provides technical insight, direction, and subject matter expertise to Industrial Internet Of Things (IIOT), Operational Technology (OT), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- Responsible for supporting the development of our automation system strategies that deliver enhanced supply chain capabilities.
- Coaches and mentor’s field technicians, and other members of Strata Innovative Solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other engineering / engineering technology and 3+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience orÂ
- Demonstrated experience in controls & automation, supporting the development and implementation of innovative solutions, collaborating with business partners across functions, and delivering within a change management process.
- Demonstrated hands on experience in the implementation of SCADA solutions including integration with higher-order business systems. Specific experience with Inductive Automation Ignition software is highly desired but not directly required. Â
- Advanced knowledge of Industrial Control Network architecture

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Demonstrated ability to support the development of digital solutions to deliver business critical outcomes in a practical, effective way.
- High experience with Rockwell’s Studio 5000, RSlogix500,
- Experience with Ignition and Factory Talk View platforms, preferred
- Experience with IDEC WINDLDR, WINDIO- NVR, Red Lion Crimson Software
- Must possess strong knowledge of process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principals, and industrial networking is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Word processing software, other Microsoft Suite products.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
- Industrial Control System Integration using open integration protocols OPC/MQTT is preferred.
