Due to Satterfield & Pontikes' continued growth, we are adding a Business Development Manager to our San Antonio team. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying and securing opportunities with owners, developers, and key stakeholders pursuing commercial, multifamily, industrial, and other large-scale construction projects throughout the greater San Antonio market. The ideal candidate will be highly connected within the local construction community, possess exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, and have a proven ability to develop opportunities on projects ranging from $25 million to $500 million.

Essential Job Functions

Develop a thorough understanding of Satterfield & Pontikes' target markets, resources, services, and strategic goals
Identify and pursue business opportunities that align with company growth objectives
Develop and implement client-specific and opportunity-specific pursuit strategies
Lead Go/No-Go discussions and support pursuit decision-making processes
Coordinate internal teams to position the company for targeted project opportunities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, consultants, and industry partners
Identify and actively participate in networking events, industry organizations, and community engagement opportunities
Research and identify prospective clients and project opportunities throughout the San Antonio market
Lead proposal development efforts and coordinate pursuit teams
Organize and facilitate interview preparation for project pursuits
Track and manage business development activities and client interactions
Collaborate with operational leadership to align pursuits with company capabilities and strategic initiatives
Maintain awareness of market trends, economic conditions, and competitive activity
Support long-term client relationship development to drive repeat business opportunities
Represent the company professionally within the construction and development community
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, client relations, or a related role within the construction industry preferred
Strong network of owners, developers, architects, consultants, and industry professionals in the San Antonio market
Experience pursuing commercial, multifamily, industrial, or large-scale construction projects
Experience leading proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms preferred
