Job DetailsJob Location: Campus of Grace - San Antonio, TX 78217Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $17.65General Role and Function: Responsible for providing day-to-day delivery of meals to elderly, homebound, disabled, senior centers and other persons, volunteer sites and/or congregate sites. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for pulling items such as beverages and perishables that are on the day’s menu, this includes retrieval from production freezers. Accurately count meals and side items based on the day’s delivery route. Stock the vehicle to keep foods hot or cold as required for food safety; including packing ice bags to use during delivery route. Delivering meals to senior centers between 7:00am – 10:00am as required. Safety operates an organization vehicle by obeying all applicable laws while delivering meals in a timely manner in accordance with guidelines of the Texas Administrative Code (TAC). Assist and verify packing utensils, side, beverages, and hot meals from warmers for each respective site according to the route sheets count; will load fleet vehicle efficiently. Assist each center’s representative to test meals, record temperatures and maintain records. Assist with unloading and clearing fleet vehicle at the end of each route/shift and prepared for the next day; to include empty bags and any corresponding equipment. Develop friendly, positive relationships with representatives and clients. Maintain a standard of personal appearance and hygiene that is keeping with our client’s and outlined in the organization policy. Maintain vehicle and food holding compartments in a clean and sanitary condition. Be available to deliver meals not on your route due to unforeseen absences or emergencies. Other duties as assigned by management.  Qualifications and Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be comfortable with the elderly and be sensitive to their needs. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read and write in English, count, and have basic math skills and ability to communicate instructions effectively as required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Familiar with San Antonio and surrounding areas. Must have reliable, personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and applicable insurance coverage required by the company policy. Team player with the ability to work independently. Physical requirements: Able to drive, enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly, bend, reach, stretch and navigate uneven terrain while walking to deliver meals. Must be able to climb stairs. This position will be exposed to all weather conditions while delivering. Requires traveling to clients’ homes and will be subjected to possible hazardous living conditions such as poor housing and vermin. Must be able to navigate heave traffic as needed. Ability to work in highly stressful environment deals with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and diverse population. Able to occasionally lift up-to seventy-five (75) pounds to move office supplies or other equipment. Qualifications
