The Critical Facilities HVAC Technician is responsible for self‑performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mission‑critical mechanical and HVAC systems supporting a high‑reliability data center environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PMs) and unplanned corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systemsÂ
- Maintain and service equipment including chillers, cooling systems, water heaters, motors, pumps, and VFDsÂ
- Execute monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance schedulesÂ
- Respond to break-fix situations and urgent facility needsÂ
- Complete work orders and documentation using CMMS and/or paper ticketsÂ
- Safely use tools, materials, and equipment to complete assigned tasksÂ
- Escort and coordinate with subcontractors as requiredÂ
- Follow all safety protocols including PPE and Lockout/Tagout proceduresÂ
- Participate in training and demonstrate willingness to learn additional systemsÂ
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC, mechanical, or related technical experienceÂ
- Experience in commercial or residential HVAC/mechanical environmentsÂ
- Working knowledge of refrigerants, mechanical and electrical systems, motors, and VFDsÂ
- High School Diploma or GEDÂ
- Valid driver’s license (company vehicle use required)Â
- Ability to pass Tier 1 background check and drug screeningÂ
- Ability to obtain a security clearance and polygraph after hire (condition of employment)Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- 5 plus years of HVAC or mechanical experienceÂ
- Experience in data centers or critical facilitiesÂ
- Technical certifications or trade school trainingÂ
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeÂ
Physical & Work Environment RequirementsÂ
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbsÂ
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heightsÂ
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and industrial environmentsÂ
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or after-hours as requiredÂ
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
• Must possess journeyman HVAC license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed
• Three (3) years prior experience required as an HVAC technician
