Description

The Customer Service Specialist/Warehouse Team Member serves as a critical link between customers, office operations, and warehouse activities. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer support, processing orders, coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely product fulfillment. The ideal candidate thrives in both office and warehouse environments, possesses strong organizational skills, and is committed to delivering a positive customer experience while supporting efficient warehouse operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, quotes, returns, and product support.
  • Process customer orders and inventory requests accurately using CRM, ERP, and warehouse management systems.
  • Coordinate with sales, warehouse, accounting, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate customer, inventory, shipping, and warehouse records.
  • Verify inventory availability through system review and physical counts, while supporting cycle counting and inventory control activities.
  • Assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and organizing products within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move, store, and load materials.
  • Communicate shipment updates, resolve service issues, and provide proactive customer follow-up.
  • Complete required shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer service documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both office and warehouse settings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across departments to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service, warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems (CRM, ERP, or P21 preferred).
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Prolonged periods of computer and desk work as needed.
