Job DetailsJob Location: FBD Partnership LP SA - San Antonio, TX 78218Summary:   The Electrical Engineer II assists in all electrical-related design and troubleshooting. This position will also ensure that the frozen beverage dispensers are safe and meet all the electrical requirements needed for an operational product.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Design new & innovative products that meet the customer's needs at an acceptable cost. Support PCBA design by designing, prototyping, testing, and implementing solutions. Prototype designs, perform validation testing, and make changes as the design is refined into a commercial product. Occasionally lead and manage a small project team. Make sure that the team understands the goals, meets the timelines, and resolves any issues to complete the project in a successful manner. Present projects to peers & upper management. Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality departments for various product lines. Investigate and resolve field problems related to various product lines. Support purchasing with finding alternate components for PCBAs. Redesign electrical systems for design improvement or flexibility. Participate in cost savings projects to improve product profitability. Provide cross-functional support for troubleshooting and failure analysis of components and sub-systems. Define specifications and communicate with vendors/distributors to acquire components and materials needed to complete a project. Create and read technical drawings for various electrical items such as wire harnesses & schematics. Re-work PCBAs for testing including SMT soldering and hot air reflow. May supervise activities of Drafters, Designers, and/or Lab Technicians. Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.   Qualifications  Minimum Qualifications - Education/Experience:      Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required. Must have 2 to 4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience. Experience completing Schematic Design and PCB Layout required. Experience with ECAD tools such as Autodesk Eagle, Fusion, OrCAD, or Altium preferred. 3D Modeling with MCAD tools, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion, or similar tools preferred. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have basic hand tool knowledge and soldering station experience. Manufacturing experience a plus. Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with internal employees. Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and a reference check.     Physical Demands:   •    Required to sit, type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, occasionally stand, walk, carry, lift, and pull.  •    Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  •    This position works in a typical office, manufacturing, and lab environment. •    Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors. •    Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.   FBD is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
